The room of of around of 300 people demonstrated that COPE members love a good debate and love to participate in the democratic process. Coalition politics may not always be pretty, but meetings like today’s is what makes progressive politics stronger.

Canada Post has locked out postal workers. Harper wants to legislate CUPW back to work and undermining organized labour’s right to collective bargaining.
Now more than ever progressive forces need to work together cooperatively and endeavor to establish social justice and equity. This is a long process that does not happen over night or even in 3 years. Here in Vancouver we need ensure that the NPA is Lock out of City Hall, School Board and Park Board.
