COPE’s 2011 Nomination and Policy Confreence, Sunday September 18, 1 pm.

November’s election is going to be so critical. The 2011 Nomination and Policy Conference is your chance to get involved. This meeting is an opportunity for members to have the final say in who our candidates are, and what our platform will be. It’s also why COPE is the only party that will have contested nominations, making for a very exciting and energizing day.

Date, Times, Location

The 2011 Nomination and Policy Conference will take place on Sunday, September 18 at John Oliver Secondary School (530 East 41st Avenue). Registration for the policy conference will open at 8:30AM and the conference will run from 9:30AM to 12:00PM.

After a one hour break, registration for the nomination meeting will start at 1:00PM, with the meeting starting at 2:00PM. The nomination meeting is expected to last three hours.
Policy Conference Details

The policy conference is your chance to shape COPE’s 2011 election platform. Members will gather and discuss COPE’s draft policies and ideas, as well as introduce new ones. Everything will be voted on and all successful policies will become a part of COPE’s platform.

Nomination Meeting Details

In order to vote at the nomination meeting, you must be a current member 45 days prior to the vote. This means the deadline for new members to join is Thursday, August 4th. Membership applications must arrive at COPE’s PO Box or by email before 4:30PM on August 4th. Any memberships received after this time will be processed, but the member will not be allowed to vote at the nomination meeting.
